Working Hard for Teachers of Central KY
Take a look at some of the other membership categories available:
Education Support Professionals
Education support employees in Kentucky's public schools number more than 47,000. They take pride in their vital contribution to the education system. Those who work in their fields are required to have specialized skills, a specialized body of knowledge, and understanding of traditions, the ability to assume diverse duties and assignments, and a willingness to take on tremendous responsibility. KESPA/KEA/NEA are committed to improving and promoting the Association for all school employees. Over three thousand support professionals have made the commitment to promoting Kentucky's public schools through their work in KEASPA/KEA/NEA. The Kentucky Education Association remains the only professional association to represent all school employees. Contact your support colleagues today about joining in the association.
KEA-Retired
As part of the strongest lobbying force in the state, KEA-Retired watches over your interests. Rising health care costs, threats to Social Security and Medicare, increasing utility costs, changes in tax rates, discriminatory housing practices and attempts to change benefits provided under the Kentucky Teachers Retirement System... all are monitored by KEA's full-time legislative specialists. Also,
KEA Retired Membership is now included in your active association dues. This means when you retire as a KEA member, you will automatically be a member for life, retaining all the member benefits you enjoy with active membership. KEA Retired is an important extension to our association family. They help us lobby and protect the benefits of school employees and retirees such as KTRS, health insurance, and Social Security.
Lifetime members retain the $1,000,000 liability insurance and legal assistance protection when they return to the classroom as substitutes.
