KEA Central District - Scholarships:

All applicants must:

 

·         be a KEA member and teach in the KEA-Central District region;

 

·         be seeking a Rank I certification;

 

·         provide a one-page typed personal reflection of: his/her active involvement in any of the following: KEA Student Program, Local Education Association, KEA, and/or NEA, and why the applicant is deserving of this scholarship;

 

·         provide proof of enrollment in an institution of higher learning;

 

·         provide one letter of recommendation by a KEA member/leader addressing applicant’s professionalism and active involvement in KEA;

 

Proof of successful completion of course work must be given to the Committee.  Incompletion of course work constitutes refunding of scholarship.

Up to two (2) $500 scholarships will be awarded* at the KEA-Central District Pre-Delegate Caucus. Recipients will be notified prior to March 8. ·         provide a one-page typed personal reflection of: his/her active involvement in any of the following: KEA Student Program, local Education Association, KEA, and/or NEA, other National Board Scholarships received, if the school district will be helping you with reimbursement, and why the applicant is deserving of this scholarship;

 

·         provide proof of enrollment in National Board Certification program; and

 

·         provide one letter of recommendation by a KEA member addressing applicant’s active involvement in KEA, professionalism.

Up to two (2) $250 scholarships will be awarded* at the KEA-Central District Pre-Delegate Caucus. Recipients will be notified prior to March 8.
